Que Sera, Sera, My Love

What will be, will be, my love.
I say, throw it to the winds.
There is chaos brewing and minds are filling –
Too fast and too quick;
Decisions, decisions, decisions.
At every place, at every turn.
There are things that are ending,
Things that are starting,
And things that are continuing.
I am impatient to be an us,
You need time to do what you must,
And I must be patient.
You must be certain this is what you seek.
So, you see, my love:
Decisions, decisions, decisions!
I say, enough; throw it to the winds.
Que sera, sera – let us be what we must.
For love is a feeling, not a decision.
I want you to be sure,
But most of all, I want you to be you.
I want to know you will always choose to stay for us;
For the truest hearts will never falter
When times get shaky.
I can be patient – have I not been?
Have I not waited all this while?
I can be, and I will be,
Because I know you need me to be,
And I need you to be.
So, you see, my love,
Let’s throw it all to the winds to blow.
This life is overflowing with decisions, decisions, decisions.
Let us not be a decision, too.
Let us be free, let us be in love,
Let us be because we feel to be,
With each other, whatever we will become.
Though the time has been short, the feelings have been strong.
Is that wrong? Is that right?
Is there a timeline for how right love should feel?
In a rare instant, serendipity makes a stranger a home
With but a glance. This moment is all it takes
For eyes to lock and souls to be bound.
You are not a stranger to me, nor I to you.
Who knows what these two souls remember
From lives long past? You are a home to me –
Warm and kind, still and quiet,
Fires lit and aromas filling the air.
The outside world is noisy and loud;
Decisions and choices await.
In this quiet moment, sit still with me now and know:
You were never a decision, my love –
Because you are always my home.
